Having left San Diego to New York, Ron Burgundy was living the high life with his wife and son Walter Burgundy Veronica Corningstone. However, when the boss decides to promote the anchor Veronica lead and full-time fire Ron, changes everything. Now coming back to San Diego, Ron was washed and working part time at Sea World. His chance for redemption though is in the form of a man named Freddie Schapp, who is an executive producer of the Global News Network, the world's first 24 hour around the clock news channel. He hires Ron, who must meet the reporting team champ, Brick, and Brian, and back to New York. While there Ron and his team were given the news on the night shift and a challenge.
